Valencia Fluted Nightstand 18"W

After placing the order, I received the order confirmation pretty quickly. The tracking information was clear, and my order shipped with FedEx. It arrived in about 5 to 7 business days. The packaging was intact, and there was no complicated setup needed before placing it beside the bed.

I was a little worried that the Espresso color might be too dark, but the actual piece looks very close to the website photos. It is a calm dark wood tone, and the white stone-look top keeps it from feeling too heavy. It also had no noticeable smell after opening, which was a pleasant surprise.

My bedside space is pretty tight, so before ordering I sent customer service the measurements between my bed and the wall. I wanted to make sure an 18-inch nightstand would fit. They recommended this one based on my space, and it fits well without blocking the walkway. The top has enough room for a cup, phone, and small clock, so it works well for a smaller bedroom.

I only bought one for one side of the bed, and the 18.3-inch width works well in my small room. It does not take up too much floor space, but the top is still useful. I have a door and closet nearby, and this size was easier to fit than a wider nightstand.

We have a young child who often runs around the bedroom, so I liked that the nightstand has rounded edges. It would still hurt if someone bumped into it, but it feels safer than a sharp-cornered cabinet. The rounded shape also looks clean and does not make the piece feel childish.

The nightstand is not very large, but it feels stable once placed on the floor. I keep a lamp, a few books, and a water cup on top, and it does not feel shaky. The cabinet has some weight to it, so it does not feel flimsy.
