While browsing the product page, I noticed that the tabletop has a maximum weight capacity of 200 lbs. Since this is an extendable table, I was a little concerned about whether the weight capacity would change after extending it, so I reached out to the Houlte team to ask.

Their team clearly confirmed that the tabletop weight capacity stays the same whether the table is extended or not. That made me feel much more confident, and I placed the order right away. After receiving the table, I was also very happy with the color. It matches my dining area beautifully and looks very cohesive in the space.

Our dining area is pretty spacious, so from the beginning I wanted a table that was longer and wider than a standard one. We sometimes have neighbors over for dinner, and I wanted everyone to be able to sit comfortably. This table is 71 inches long in its original size and extends to 91 inches, which turned out to be exactly what we needed.

When it is not extended, we can place two chairs on each long side and one chair on each end, seating 6 people very comfortably. You could also put three chairs on each long side, but it would feel a little closer between family members. Once the table is extended, three chairs on each long side feel much more comfortable, with no sense of being crowded.

After using this dining table, I realized how convenient the center pedestal base design really is. Unlike traditional tables with four legs at the corners, this design gives us more flexibility when placing chairs, and people sitting along the sides do not easily bump into table legs. When several people are eating together, it is much easier for everyone to get in and out of their seats.

The tabletop corners also do not feel sharp, which makes it more reassuring for everyday use, especially when people are walking around the dining area. The whole table feels very stable, and the base has a nice, substantial weight to it. For our home, it is not only beautiful, but also genuinely comfortable and practical to use.

What I like most about this dining table is the extendable design. When we do not need a large tabletop, the original size is just right and does not make the dining area feel too crowded. On weekends, when friends or family come over for dinner, we can extend the table and instantly get much more usable space.

I also really like that the extension leaf can be stored inside the table, so there is no need to find a separate place for it. I have used an extendable table before where the leaf had to be stored separately, and every time we needed it, we had to go look for it in the storage room. This table makes it very easy to switch between everyday use and hosting guests. It is a great choice for families who want a larger dining table when needed, but do not want it taking up too much space all the time.

I really love this extendable dining table. It feels even more substantial in person than I expected. The table arrived in two separate packages: one for the tabletop and one for the base. The tabletop package was about 165 lbs, and the base package was about 176 lbs, so both boxes were very heavy.

One thing to keep in mind is that Houlte provides truck delivery to the door, but does not offer white-glove delivery or in-home setup. If you do not have anyone at home to help, I would recommend arranging help in advance. The packages are heavy, but once the table is assembled, the final look is beautiful. The quality and stability both feel excellent.
